An audit is an independant check to report whether the accounts of a Limited Company show a true and fair view of its annual financial performance. This work can only be carried out by REGISTERED AUDITORS.

Who requires an Audit?

There are various critera to be looked at when deciding if a company's accounts need to be audited. However, in general terms (for accounting periods starting on or after 6th April 2008) audits are compulsory when a Limited Company's annual turnover exceeds £6.5 million.
